FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
  1. Can the landscape lights display different colors on each of the 4 spotlights - No, this is not possible with our lights as the control for the lights comes from the transformer and not the spotlights themselves.

  2.  Mesh lamp timer not working properly - What is needed to fix this issue is a factory reset. That process is as follows: first you will need to delete any timers and/or groups that you have associated with the set of lights that are giving you issues. To delete timers you will swipe left on the timer bar in the "Timing" section and an option to delete that timer will appear. To delete groups you will simply tap the group bar on the Mesh Lamp home screen and a drop down menu will appear with the option for you to delete that group. Once you have deleted these things you will now want to press and hold the icon for the set of lights you would like to reset to enter the control interface. On the main control interface screen with the big RGB wheel you will see a little notepad icon in the top right corner of your screen, select this and then select "Remove present device". You will now be booted back to the Mesh Lamp home screen and your lights should flash. Give the lights a few seconds to fully reset and re appear in the app. If the lights do not re appear in the app you will need to completely close out of the app and re open it, your lights should now be there and you are able to go back in a re add your timers and groups.

  3.  All 4 spotlights displaying different colors than what is programmed in Mesh Lamp - This is more than likely due to the power cord being damaged. To solve this go ahead and inspect your cord for damage, the most common form of damage is rodents chewing on the wire. To check the wire it is best to run your hand along the length of the wire feeling for little bumps in the wire indicating rodent teeth marks. If damage is found go ahead and reach out to us with this information and we will proceed with getting you a replacement.

  4.  1 spotlight not displaying the correct color selected in Mesh Lamp or a different color from the other 3 lights - This is more than likely a bad spotlight. The most common cause of this is moisture build up under the lens which is very easy to check. Simply take a look at the spotlight that isn't functioning properly and look for little water droplets inside the light. This is covered under the 2 year warranty and we will be happy to send you a replacement light at no cost. If the light looks dry and this is the last light on the power cord it is possible that the power cord was damaged between the 3rd and 4th light. To check for damage follow the same procedures as mentioned in the previous bullet point and if damage is found go ahead and reach out to us and we can assist you with that.

  5.  My white is not working on my lights in Mesh Lamp - This is most of the time in reference to the "Cold/Warm" feature in the group control or just in the main control interface for a set of lights. That feature only works on our 100W floodlights as those are RGBW. This feature is intended only for lights that have RGBW or RGB+CCT functionality. To achieve white on any of our Mesh Lamp lights other than the 100W floodlights you will use the main RGB wheel. Simply tap the center of the RGB wheel for a cool white, if a warmer white is desired slowly slide your finger out from the center towards the yellow until the desired amount of warmth is achieved.

  6.  Lights no longer able to be controlled /no longer show up in Mesh Lamp - This is more than likely a bad transformer. This is covered under the 2 year warranty as long as it is not due to water damage. If you are experiencing this issue please reach out to us and we will be happy to get you what you need to get your lights back up and running. If the lights still turn on when plugged in but you are unable to control them a factory reset can sometimes fix this, since you can not see the lights in the app the plug/unplug method with be needed for the reset. That process is as follows, please note the timeframes in the sequence are important.
  • First unplug your lights for at least 2 minutes
  • Now plug in the lights for 1 second
  • Unplug for 3 seconds
  • Plug back in for 1 second
  • Unplug for 3 seconds
  • Plug in for 5 seconds
  • Unplug for 3 seconds
  • Finally plug the lights back in and leave them plugged in. They should flash red and then remain on indicating a successful reset. Also you will need to delete any timers and groups associated with this set of lights and re add them back into the app, they will not work properly otherwise.
